ItGetsBetterProject.com is a national project started by Dan Savage to get LGBT adults to make videos that speak to LGBT youth. We are holding a New Orleans event on December 4th to raise awareness of a very serious issue: teen suicide among the LGBT community. We will be standing together and recording videos to send a message to queer teens that it does get better. Stand with us.
Food, drinks and entertainment will be provided.
THE FACTS:
9 out of 10 LGBT teens have experienced harassment in schools
LGBT teens are 4 times more likely to commit suicide than straight teens.
They need to know it gets better; they need to hear it from you.
